Paint protection film is the most physically demanding layer of defence a vehicle’s finish can receive. A dense, optically clear urethane film, it absorbs road debris, stone chips, and surface abrasion before they ever reach the paintwork. Every installation at AutoDetailer Studio is either a bespoke custom-fitment or precision-measured using a three-dimensional pattern, ensuring accurate coverage tailored to each specific vehicle. What is the difference between ClearGuard Alpha and SatinGuard PPF?

My car has an original matte factory finish. Which film should I choose?

What is a Paint Replacement Film, and how is it different from a body respray?
A Paint Replacement Film simultaneously protects your original paintwork and transforms the colour of your vehicle. Available in an extensive palette of colours — including matte, satin, and special-texture finishes — it adheres with an automotive-grade removable adhesive that leaves your factory paint completely intact upon removal. It is significantly more cost-effective and faster than a full respray, and uniquely allows you to change colours again in future while preserving the original paintwork. Custom colour orders are available upon consultation.
How long does PPF last, and how do I maintain it?
A fully installed, properly maintained ClearGuard Alpha or SatinGuard film lasts up to 10 years, backed by a manufacturer’s warranty against defects. Maintenance is straightforward: a weekly wash is all that is required. No polishing, waxing, or special treatments are needed. Parking in a shaded location will further extend the film’s lifespan.
Will there be visible seams or edges after PPF installation?
With our bespoke custom-cut installation, the result is effectively seamless. Every section is precisely measured and cut for your specific vehicle — logos, door handles, and number plates are removed during installation to maximise coverage and eliminate visible film edges. Our finish is one that protects without ever announcing itself.
