The Porsche 993 is the last of the air-cooled Porsches, featuring a 3.6L naturally aspirated flat-6 engine. The unit that had been brought in by a client was pre-owned and refinished in an unoriginal Lava Orange. When we checked with its Porsche registry, we found that the car was originally finished in a colour called Vesuvio Metallic.
Vesuvio Metallic is a rare and original colour from Porsche, named after the famous Italian volcano, Mount Vesuvius. This colour is rare because it is exclusive to the 993 Carrera S model.
We sanded down the 993 to its bare metal body and refinished it in Vesuvio Metallic paintwork which was mixed directly from the manufacturer. The interior was also reupholstered to ensure the car would be in mint condition by the time we were done restoring it.
After all restorative works were completed, we put the car through our Signature Detailing program, to achieve the ultimate finish on the fresh paintwork, and the newly reupholstered interior. The car was then custom-fitted with our then-flagship gloss paint protection film, ClearGuard Nano SR™.
